Million Dollar Arms

Ethan, this blog is for YOU!
We had heard of the Million Dollar Arm contest here in India when we first arrived in July. It was a reality show, run by some California company who thought, in a country with over a billion people, surely they could find someone who could throw a ball hard enough to sign a major league pitching contract in the US. Turns out, they were right. 30,000 people tried out, and in the end, 2 boys ended up being signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates! These boys had never seen a baseball, or thrown a pitch prior to the show. In fact, they were both javelin throwers here in India!!
In my fact checking, I actually came across a blog that THEY are keeping in the states. Check it out, here is the link
It is sort of a reverse culture shock blog to what we experience here. It will make you laugh!
To answer your question, Ethan, there is absolutely no coverage here of this news! Almost nobody here even would know what baseball is!!
