Cricket in India is truly a national pastime. It is really the only "professional" sport in the entire country! There are a few soccer (football) clubs... and men's field hockey as well... but it is all cricket, all the time here. The headlines on the sports pages, the front of the Wheaties box, the celebrity endorsing the newest Ford model... all cricket. And on Saturday morning, if you drive the streets, you see people of all ages playing cricket. Down alleyways, in parking lots, in vacant fields... it's cricket, cricket, cricket!! I could take a dozen photos just like these every day on a drive to the city...
