Halloween in India????

It's just not right. Truly. Not right at all.

One of the perks of this 1 year assignment, I thought, was that I would get to miss 1 Halloween. If you know me well, then you know that I am a Halloween Scrooge!! I desperately tried to return from our Maldives trip on November 1st, just to avoid it, but the flights were all booked! I could not believe my eyes when I opened up a Halloween PARTY invitation?????????? Tell me it isn't so! The worst part is that they do not sell costumes or bagged candy at all! Of course, I pieced it all together at the 11th hour and the party was actually quite fun, and I must say that the trick or treaters were all quite polite (much more so than in the US!)... I made it through, and the kids had fun.

The rooftops in India are akin to the basements in NY. Maybe better though, it's tough to put a trampoline in a basement!!
